Flowers Flowers Flowers!

Happy Friday! Although it has been absolutely miserable where I live on the East Coast I did a fun summer time mani to liven my nails a bit. I saw this mani on Nailed It! Her nail art is so fun and her blog is amazing! Definitely heck it out

For the base I used Maybelline's Grey T-Glamour
Yellow: Zoya Pippa
Pink: Revlon Colorstay Passionate Pink
Blue: China Glaze: Flying High

I am so loving this mani,  I still have it on and I applied it Wednesday! That is actually a record for me haha :)

That's it for my quick post, hope you guys have a great extended weekend for Memorial Day!!!

OPI Fly + China Glaze Optical Illusion

Ever look at a polish outside of its collection stand and realize that you need it? I don't know why this happens to me but OPI's fly from the Nicki Manage collection caught my eye while it was sitting with their permanent collection.

Fly is the perfect teal creme. The formula is near perfection! For my accent nail I used China Glaze's Optical Illusion from their recent prismatic chrome glitter collection. I wasn't too excited about these when I saw them in their promo photos but I actually really love this glitter. Optical Illusion is an aqua base with pink, green, yellow, and silver glitters.

This photo came out a little blurry but this is the most accurate photo of Fly. It is not quite as bright as it is shown in the first photo

String Mani

As promised in my last post, here is my string mani with Revlon Colorstay's Passionate Pink nail polish and Zoya's Pippa. After seeing Makeup Withdrawal's String mani post here. I immediately  wanted to try it.

The concept of the mani is pretty easy. All you need is a dotter, or something of the sort and some nail polish. After spilling out some of Pippa I let the polish get a little tacky. This was the hardest part for me because I am pretty impatient when it comes to waiting around. When the polish gets tacky enough to the point where it creates strings, all you need to do is drag the strings across your nail and whala!
This can get a little messy but the end result is so much fun!

Revlon Colorstay Passionate Pink

I have been on somewhat of a Revlon kick recently so when I was perusing through the drug store a few weeks ago I picked up one of their new Colorstay nail polishes. A co-worker of mine gets gel manicures had a color on one day very reminiscent of this shade right here and I was absolutely obsessed with it so Passionate Pink was the color I chose to get (The color range is actually pretty decent!) The formula of this polish was really great. Two smooth creamy coats and it gave my nails a gel like look. The brust of these is a lot like the Sally Hansen Insta Dri brushes except a little smaller. I actually liked the brushes on this a lot.

Keep your eyes peeled for a String of Polish manicure next week!

Thoughts? Have you tried the new Revlon Colorstay polishes?

China Glaze Marry a Millionaire

Ah, tomorrow is hump day! Ever since I started my job in January I have not had as much me time as I would like - aka paint my nails and relax time! I work 8:30 to 7 most days and by the time I get home from the gym I am pooped! All I want to do is read blog posts haha

China Glaze had the right idea - Marry a Millionaire. No work, just nails :) I bought this polish sometime around the holidays and tried it on its own. My mistake - I really dislike wearing glitters on their own so this time I layered Marry a Millionaire over Model's Own Pure Purple. I enjoyed the results of this much better!

Thanks for stopping by !

Zoya Skylar

Happy Friday lovelies! Today I have another Zoya from their spring collection to show you. This is Skylar, my favorite of the collection. If you haven't already noticed I am a sucker for blues so this was an obvious purchase for me. Skylar is unique slate blue polish. The flecks in this are what really make this color special - they are a mix of gold and silver flecks but in the right light can look blue.

The did kick up the fill light in these photos because I really wanted you guys to see the flecks so the color is a bit brighter in these photos than in real life. In person it is much more if a slate blue

Now I am itching for some of Zoya's Beach and Surf collection!

Finger Paints Rose Patina

Hello ladies. I just finished my last graduate class. It feels SO good! To celebrate I have a fun shimmery pink polish. This one is actually my moms. This is not a color I would usually go for but it actually turned out really pretty on my nails. It is Rosa Patina by Finger Paints. I don't own many FP but the ones I do own are pretty impressive. This was an easy 2 coater and the fact that it has shimmers made it an instant fav.
